Wilful misconduct

Wilful misconduct refers to intentional or deliberate actions where someone knows their behavior is wrong or harmful and chooses to proceed anyway. It involves a conscious disregard for the safety, rights, or rules that could prevent harm or damage. Unlike ordinary negligence, which is accidental or careless, wilful misconduct shows a purposeful decision to violate standards or cause a harmful outcome. It is often treated more seriously legally because of the deliberate nature of the misconduct.
