Wildlife rehabilitation organizations
Wildlife rehabilitation organizations are dedicated to the care and recovery of injured, sick, or orphaned wild animals. These non-profit groups provide medical treatment, food, shelter, and rehabilitation so that these animals can return to their natural habitats. Licensed rehabilitators, often trained in veterinary care and animal behavior, assess and treat the animals. These organizations also work to educate the public about wildlife issues and promote conservation efforts. Their ultimate goal is to ensure that wildlife can thrive in their ecosystems while minimizing human-wildlife conflicts.
