Wicket-keeper

A wicket-keeper is a specialized player in cricket who stands behind the stumps at the batter's end. Their main role is to catch the ball if the batter misses it, attempt to dismiss the batter by catching them out, and to stop deliveries that pass the batter to prevent runs. They also assist in catching players attempting to run between wickets and can participate in stumping the batter if they leave the crease improperly. The wicket-keeper's quick reflexes, sharp eyesight, and agility are vital for maintaining pressure on the batting team and supporting the team's overall fielding strategy.
