WHO Age-Friendly Cities Framework

The WHO Age-Friendly Cities Framework provides guidelines for creating urban environments that support healthy, active aging. It emphasizes eight key domains: outdoor spaces and buildings, transportation, housing, social participation, respect and social inclusion, civic participation, communication and information, and community support and health services. The goal is to make cities more accessible, safe, and welcoming for older adults, helping them stay independent, engaged, and connected to their communities. By addressing these areas, cities can improve quality of life for people of all ages, fostering inclusive and supportive environments.
