Whiteness

Whiteness refers to the social and cultural privileges associated with being identified as white within a society. It often shapes systems, norms, and expectations that advantage white individuals, consciously or unconsciously, while marginalizing people of other racial backgrounds. Understanding whiteness involves recognizing its role in historical and ongoing inequalities, and how societal structures have been built around white normativity.
