White Movement
The White Movement was a loose group of anti-Bolshevik forces during the Russian Civil War (1917–1923), opposing the communist Bolsheviks who seized power after the Russian Revolution. Comprising monarchists, liberals, conservatives, and military leaders, their goal was to restore the old order or establish a different non-communist government. They lacked unified leadership and wide popular support but received some foreign aid. Ultimately, the Reds (Bolsheviks) defeated the Whites, leading to the establishment of the Soviet Union. The White Movement is often viewed as representing conservative and anti-communist resistance during this turbulent period.
