White-box Attack

A white-box attack is a type of cyberattack where the attacker has full knowledge of a system’s inner workings, including algorithms, code, and security measures. This detailed access allows them to craft more precise and effective strategies to find vulnerabilities and bypass defenses. Think of it as a burglar knowing every detail of a house’s security system before attempting to break in. In contrast, limited knowledge (black-box attack) involves little to no insight into the system’s design. White-box attacks are important for testing system robustness and improving security measures.
