Whit Monday
Whit Monday is a Christian holiday observed the day after Pentecost (also called Whitsun), which commemorates the Holy Spirit's descent on the apostles. Traditionally, it marks the end of the Easter season and is recognized as a day of religious reflection and celebration. In many countries, it is a public holiday, often associated with church services, processions, and community events. Historically, Whit Monday was also a day for leisure and family gatherings. Though some regions have ceased observing it officially, it remains tradition in several countries as a marker of Pentecost's significance.
