Whiplash

Whiplash is a neck injury caused by a rapid, forceful back-and-forth movement of the head, similar to cracking a whip. It often results from car accidents, falls, or sports impacts. This sudden motion strains or damages the neck muscles, ligaments, and sometimes spinal discs or nerves. Symptoms can include neck pain, stiffness, headaches, dizziness, and difficulty moving the head. While mild cases may improve with rest and physical therapy, severe injuries might require medical treatment or surgery. Prompt diagnosis and management are important to prevent long-term complications and support recovery.
