Western States Water Council
The Western States Water Council (WSWC) is a collaborative organization comprised of officials from 18 Western U.S. states, aimed at addressing shared water resource challenges. It facilitates cooperation on issues like water management, policy development, and conservation strategies to ensure sustainable use of water in the arid and drought-prone western region. WSWC supports states by providing research, policy recommendations, and fostering coordination among different water agencies, helping ensure reliable water supplies for agriculture, industries, ecosystems, and communities.
