Western Hemisphere

The Western Hemisphere refers to the half of the Earth that lies west of the Prime Meridian (which runs through Greenwich, England) and east of the 180th meridian. It includes North America, Central America, South America, the Caribbean, and parts of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Think of the Earth divided into two halves by an imaginary vertical line: the Western Hemisphere is essentially the "left side" when looking at a world map with north at the top. This region is characterized by diverse cultures, climates, and countries.
