
Wellington Monument
The Wellington Monument is a large stone obelisk located in Phoenix Park, Dublin, Ireland. It commemorates Field Marshal Arthur Wellesley, the 1st Duke of Wellington, who was a prominent military leader and statesman. Erected between 1852 and 1857, it stands approximately 62 meters (203 feet) tall, making it one of the tallest stone structures in Ireland. The monument features relief sculptures and inscriptions honoring Wellington's victories, notably at Waterloo.
