wechsler tests
Wechsler tests are a series of standardized assessments designed to measure a person’s intellectual abilities. They evaluate different areas of thinking, such as verbal reasoning, problem-solving, working memory, and processing speed. The most common is the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS), used for adults, and the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC), used for children. These tests provide a detailed profile of strengths and challenges in cognitive functioning, helping psychologists understand an individual’s mental abilities, identify learning disabilities, or assess cognitive development.
