Wear and Tear

Wear and tear refer to the natural deterioration of items over time due to regular use. As objects like shoes, appliances, or vehicles are used, their materials gradually break down, lose performance, or appear worn out. This process is normal and inevitable, typically becoming noticeable after prolonged use. Wear and tear are distinguished from damage caused by accidents or misuse, representing the expected decline in condition from everyday activities. Regular maintenance can slow this process, but some level of wear and tear is normal in most objects and is often considered a sign of routine usage.
