Wavelength multiplexing

Wavelength multiplexing is a technique used in optical communications to send multiple data streams simultaneously over a single fiber optic cable. It works by assigning each data stream a different light wavelength (color). These different "colors" of light travel together through the same fiber without interfering with each other, increasing the total data capacity. At the receiving end, special equipment separates the wavelengths so each data stream can be processed. This method efficiently boosts bandwidth and is essential for high-speed internet, data centers, and large network infrastructures.
