Wave

A wave is a repeating disturbance or vibration that moves through a medium, like water, air, or solid materials, carrying energy from one place to another. In water, waves are visible as the rise and fall of the surface, caused by energy from wind or other forces. In the air, sound waves travel as pressure changes that our ears detect as sound. Waves have key features such as wavelength, frequency, and amplitude, which describe their size and energy. Overall, waves transfer energy without permanently displacing the medium itself, enabling phenomena like sound, light, and ocean currents.
