Waterboarding

Waterboarding is a form of torture where a person is strapped to a surface with their head inclined downward. Thin cloth or plastic is placed over their face, and water is poured over it, creating the sensation of drowning. This causes intense fear, panic, and physical discomfort, as the person struggles to breathe. Although not actually drowning, it produces a feeling of suffocation and can cause serious psychological and physical harm. Waterboarding has been controversial and is widely considered a form of cruel and inhumane treatment.
