Water Cycle Model

The water cycle is the continuous movement of water on, above, and below Earth's surface. It begins with evaporation, where the sun heats water in oceans, lakes, and rivers, turning it into vapor. This vapor rises and cools to form clouds (condensation). When the clouds become heavy, water falls as precipitation (rain, snow, sleet). Some water soaks into the ground (infiltration), replenishing aquifers, while the rest flows back into bodies of water (runoff). This cycling process ensures the distribution and renewal of freshwater vital for ecosystems and human needs.
