Warren Commission (investigators)

The Warren Commission was a group established by President Lyndon B. Johnson in 1963 to investigate President John F. Kennedy's assassination. Comprising mainly U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice Earl Warren and other prominent officials, the commission carefully examined evidence, interviewed witnesses, and analyzed facts to determine how JFK was killed. Their goal was to provide a thorough and official explanation of the event. In 1964, they concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. While debated by some, the Warren Commission's report remains a key reference for understanding the official account of the assassination.
