Warburton Branch Railway

The Warburton Branch Railway was a suburban train line that connected Melbourne's eastern suburbs to the town of Warburton in Victoria, Australia. It opened in 1901 to support local communities and industries, particularly timber and agriculture. The line featured scenic rainforest views along the Yarra River. Passenger services ran until 1964, and the line was eventually closed in the early 1980s. Today, parts of the former railway corridor are used as walking and cycling trails, preserving its historical significance and providing recreational opportunities.
