War of the Seventh Coalition
The War of the Seventh Coalition (1815) was the final effort by European powers to overthrow Napoleon Bonaparte after he escaped exile on Elba. A coalition including Britain, the Netherlands, Prussia, Austria, and others quickly mobilized to stop him. Napoleon's forces faced a decisive defeat at the Battle of Waterloo. This loss ended his rule, leading to his final exile on Saint Helena. The war solidified a new balance of power in Europe and marked the end of the Napoleonic Wars.
