Waquf

A Waquf (or Wakf) is a charitable endowment in Islamic tradition, where a person dedicates a property—such as land, building, or other assets—for religious, educational, or social purposes. Once designated as Waquf, the property’s income or use is preserved for its intended charitable cause, often permanently.
