WAI (Web Accessibility Initiative)

The Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) is an effort led by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) to improve web accessibility for everyone, especially people with disabilities. WAI creates guidelines and resources to help web developers and designers ensure that websites can be easily used by everyone, including those with visual, auditory, cognitive, or physical challenges. By promoting inclusive design practices and providing tools for testing accessibility, WAI aims to make the web a more equitable place where all individuals can access information and services without barriers.
