Wagria

Wagria, also known as Wagrians, refers to an ancient Slavic tribe that inhabited parts of what is now northern Germany, particularly around the region of the Wagria lake. They were part of the larger group of tribes known as the Polabian Slavs and played a significant role in the cultural and political landscape of Central Europe during the early medieval period. Wagria is often associated with settlements and social structures that contributed to the mixing of Slavic and Germanic cultures in the area before Christianization and the expansion of German influence.
