
Vygotsky's Theories
Lev Vygotsky was a psychologist who believed that social interaction and cultural context are essential for learning and development. He introduced the idea of the "Zone of Proximal Development," which is the gap between what a person can do alone and what they can achieve with guidance from others. Vygotsky emphasized that children learn through conversations, collaboration, and applying cultural tools like language. Essentially, he seen learning as a social process, where guidance from more knowledgeable others helps us develop new skills and understanding that we couldn't achieve on our own.
