Vpriv

Vpriv is a prescription medication used to treat adults with certain inherited enzyme deficiency disorders, like Gaucher disease type 1. These conditions result from the body's inability to produce enough specific enzymes needed to break down certain fats, leading to abnormal buildup and related health issues. Vpriv is a form of the missing enzyme called imiglucerase, which replaces the deficient enzyme, helping to reduce symptoms such as organ enlargement, blood abnormalities, and bone problems. Administered through intravenous infusions, Vpriv helps manage the disease and improve patients' quality of life by addressing the underlying enzyme deficiency.
