Volume-Cycled Ventilator

A volume-cycled ventilator is a medical device that assists or replaces breathing by delivering a set amount of air (volume) into the patient’s lungs with each breath. It consistently provides a predetermined inhaled volume, regardless of the pressure needed to achieve it. This ensures the patient receives a stable amount of air, which can be adjusted based on their needs. The ventilator then allows the patient to exhale naturally.
