Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) measures how efficiently radio-frequency energy is transmitted from a source, like an antenna, into a load, such as a transmitter or receiver. When the transmitter and antenna are perfectly matched, all the energy flows smoothly, resulting in a VSWR of 1:1.
