Voltage sags

Voltage sags are brief drops in electrical power levels that occur in a power system, usually lasting from a few milliseconds to a few seconds. They are caused by events like heavy machinery starting up, faults, or faults clearing on the grid. During a voltage sag, electrical devices may operate less efficiently or temporarily malfunction because they aren’t receiving stable voltage. While typically not damaging, frequent or severe sags can disrupt sensitive equipment or processes. Essentially, it's a short-lived dip in the power supply voltage that can affect the performance of electrical devices.
