Void
A void is an empty space or vacuum that lacks matter, such as air, particles, or any substance. In physics and cosmology, it often refers to a vast region in the universe with very low density of galaxies and matter, surrounded by more populated areas. Think of it as a "bubble" or "gap" in the universe where little exists compared to the regions packed with stars, planets, and galaxies. Voids help scientists understand the large-scale structure of the cosmos and the distribution of matter across the universe.
