VLOOKUP

VLOOKUP (Vertical Lookup) is a function in spreadsheet applications like Excel used to find specific information in a table. It searches for a value in the first column of a range and then retrieves data from a specified column in the same row. For example, if you have a list of employee IDs and their names, VLOOKUP can find an employee ID and return the corresponding name. It’s useful for quickly accessing related data across large tables, reducing manual searching and errors.
