Vladimir Bekhterev was a Russian neurologist and psychiatrist born in 1857, known for his pioneering work in brain research and mental health. Bekhterev also founded scientific psychology in Russia and contributed to understanding cerebrum functions. He is also known for describing a condition called ankylosing spondylitis, sometimes called Bekhterev’s disease.
