VisualOdometry
Visual odometry is a technique used by robots, drones, or autonomous vehicles to determine their motion and position by analyzing sequences of images captured by cameras. By tracking how features in the images move between frames, the system estimates how far and in which direction it has moved. Think of it as the visual equivalent of human navigation—using what we see to understand our movement through an environment. It helps machines navigate accurately without relying solely on GPS, especially indoors or in areas where signals are weak.
