visual pathway

The visual pathway refers to the route that visual information takes from the eyes to the brain. Light enters the eye through the cornea, passes through the lens, and is focused on the retina, where it is converted into electrical signals. These signals travel through the optic nerve, crossing at the optic chiasm, then onward to the thalamus and finally to the visual cortex in the brain. This process allows us to perceive and interpret what we see, enabling us to recognize shapes, colors, and movement in our environment.
