Visual landmarks

Visual landmarks are objects or features in our environment that aid in navigation by providing recognizable points of reference. They can be natural, like a large tree or mountain, or man-made, such as a building or sign. These landmarks help us determine our location and direction, especially when moving through unfamiliar areas. Our brains remember these visual cues to create mental maps, making it easier to find our way around without needing GPS or maps constantly. Essentially, visual landmarks are key reference points that support spatial awareness and orientation.
