Visual Embodiment
Visual embodiment refers to the way our visual perceptions and mental representations are integrated with our bodily awareness. It involves how our senses, movements, and physical interactions influence and shape our understanding of the world, and how our brain associates visual information with our body. Essentially, it’s about the connection between what we see and how we feel or act, making our experience of the environment deeply rooted in our physical presence. This concept helps explain phenomena such as how gestures influence thought or how visual cues affect our sense of self and agency.
