Visual Balance

Visual balance refers to the distribution of elements within a design or composition to create a sense of stability and harmony. It ensures that no part of the design feels disproportionately heavy or cluttered, allowing the viewer’s eye to move comfortably across the entire piece. Balance can be achieved symmetrically, with mirrored elements on either side, or asymmetrically, through thoughtful placement of different-sized or colored elements that weigh visually. Essentially, visual balance makes a design feel well-organized and pleasing, guiding viewers’ attention smoothly without causing discomfort or imbalance.
