Vishnu (Hinduism)
Vishnu is a major deity in Hinduism, known as the Preserver or Protector of the universe. He is part of the Trimurti, alongside Brahma (the creator) and Shiva (the destroyer). Vishnu embodies compassion, mercy, and righteous duty, often depicted with a blue skin tone, holding a conch shell, discus, mace, and lotus flower. He is believed to descend to Earth in various incarnations (avatars), such as Rama and Krishna, to restore cosmic order when it is threatened. Vishnu's followers worship him as the divine protector, emphasizing his role in maintaining balance and harmony in the universe.
