Viscous flow refers to the movement of fluids, such as water or oil, where internal resistance affects how they flow. Imagine honey compared to water: honey flows slowly due to its thickness, while water flows more easily. In continuum mechanics, we study fluid behavior by treating them as continuous substances rather than collections of individual molecules. Viscosity is a key factor, representing a fluid's resistance to deformation.
