Virtue Theory

Virtue Theory is an approach to ethics that focuses on developing good character traits, or virtues, like honesty, courage, and kindness. Instead of only evaluating actions as right or wrong, it emphasizes becoming a virtuous person who naturally acts ethically. The idea is that when someone consistently cultivates virtues, their behavior will generally align with moral goodness. Virtue Theory encourages self-improvement and moral character as the foundation for ethical living, suggesting that a good person will make right choices because of their virtues, not just rule-following or consequence calculation.
