Virtual memory management

Virtual memory management is a system that allows a computer to use more memory than physically available by temporarily transferring data between the computer’s RAM and storage (like a hard drive). It creates a seamless space for programs to run smoothly, even if the actual RAM is limited. The operating system manages this process automatically, converting virtual addresses used by programs into physical addresses in RAM or storage. This ensures efficient multitasking and prevents applications from crashing when memory is tight, effectively expanding the available memory beyond what’s physically installed.
