Virtual Image

A virtual image is an optical illusion created when light rays appear to diverge from a point, but do not actually converge there. This means you can't capture a virtual image on a screen; instead, it can only be seen when looking through a lens or mirror. A common example is your reflection in a flat mirror. Virtual images are typically upright and often larger or smaller than the actual object, depending on the type of mirror or lens used. Unlike real images, which can be projected, virtual images require the observer's perspective to be seen.
