Virginia Council on Indians
The Virginia Council on Indians is an organization dedicated to supporting and advocating for Virginia’s Native American tribes and communities. It works to preserve Native culture, heritage, and rights, while fostering understanding and cooperation between Native peoples and the wider public, government, and organizations. The council also provides resources, promotes education about Native history, and collaborates on initiatives that benefit Virginia’s Indigenous peoples. Its goal is to ensure Native voices are represented and their cultural contributions acknowledged within the state.
