Viral Rhinitis

Viral rhinitis, commonly known as the common cold, is an inflammation of the nasal passages caused by viral infections. Symptoms include a runny or stuffy nose, sneezing, coughing, and sometimes a sore throat or mild headache. It spreads easily through respiratory droplets when an infected person coughs or sneezes. While it’s usually mild and resolves on its own within a week or two, rest, hydration, and over-the-counter medications can help alleviate symptoms. Good hygiene, like hand washing and avoiding close contact with sick individuals, can help prevent its spread.
