Vimizim
Vimizim is a prescription medicine used to treat a rare genetic disorder called Morquio A syndrome, which affects how the body breaks down certain complex sugars. This condition leads to bone abnormalities, growth problems, and other health issues. Vimizim is an enzyme replacement therapy that provides a missing enzyme called elosulfase alfa, helping to reduce the build-up of these sugars in the body. By doing so, it can improve physical function, reduce symptoms, and help manage the disease. Vimizim is administered through regular intravenous infusions under medical supervision.
