Vikramaśīla

Vikramaśīla was an ancient Buddhist monastic university located in present-day India, founded in the 8th or 9th century CE. It was one of the world's largest and most renowned centers of Buddhist learning, attracting scholars and monks from across Asia. The university offered extensive studies in Buddhist philosophy, logic, grammar, and arts, fostering a vibrant intellectual community. Its influence helped spread Buddhism across Central Asia and China.
