Viewpoints
Viewpoints are a structured way for actors, dancers, or performers to explore and express a scene or movement by focusing on different aspects of their body and space. They help performers analyze and shape their physical presence through eight key elements: space, shape, time, movement, emotion, story, voice, and gesture. By considering each aspect, performers can create more dynamic, authentic performances and communicate clearly with each other. Think of viewpoints as different lenses or angles that guide how a performer observes, interprets, and expresses their role within a performance.
