Vietnamese Revolution

The Vietnamese Revolution was a movement aimed at ending foreign rule and achieving independence for Vietnam, primarily led by the Viet Minh under Ho Chi Minh. Starting in the early 20th century, it was driven by the desire to establish a sovereign nation free from colonial powers like France and later, Japan. The struggle involved protests, guerrilla warfare, and diplomatic efforts, culminating in Vietnam’s independence in 1954 after the First Indochina War and the Geneva Accords. This revolution significantly shaped Vietnam’s modern history, leading to the division into North and South Vietnam and eventually the Vietnam War.
