Vietic languages
Vietic languages are a group of related languages spoken mainly in Vietnam and surrounding regions. They belong to the larger Austroasiatic language family, which includes languages like Khmer and Mon. The most prominent Vietic language is Vietnamese, the country's official language. These languages share common features such as similar tones, phonetics, and vocabulary roots. Despite differences among the various Vietic languages, they all reflect a shared cultural and historical heritage, maintaining unique linguistic characteristics that help linguists understand the history and migrations of their speakers.
