The Victory Stele of Naram-Sin is an ancient Assyrian stone monument from around 2254–2218 BCE, celebrating the Akkadian king Naram-Sin’s defeat of enemies. Carved in high relief, it depicts Naram-Sin ascending a mountain, larger and more prominent than others, symbolizing his divine status and leadership. The scene shows soldiers, warriors, and enemies, emphasizing his triumph. The stele uses scale, placement, and a sloping landscape to highlight Naram-Sin’s power, and it was meant to showcase his divine authority and military success.
